Inside rub rails

I have not had a whole lot of progress this past week. Wednesday was productive in that we installed an air conditioner in the garage making the evenings more bearable. Thursday involved packing and getting the canoe and the Hobie on the car for "Race to the Dome." Saturday race on the Missouri. Sunday night: plan for the size and shape of the bow and stern airlocks.

Tonight came down to the process of cutting the interior rub rails into corresponding shapes. The only difficulty was getting a clean match despite the inconsistent surface of fillit and fiberglass at the ends.

They are cut and ready for epoxy tomorrow night. Once installed, I will be sanding them down to parallel to the ground so they will ride on top of the car on a greater surface.

Hopefully the air locks will be cut and ready for install by Wednesday and Thursday.

It is coming together.
